ProdERP Finance Project Leader
CITY: Wauwatosa STATE: Wisconsin COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Clinical Systems is a complex global business with multiple process and technical integration challenges with a 300-person finance team. We are looking for a strong business partner to lead our ProdERP Project and improve our capability to support the business. This person needs to be able to juggle the strategic and tactical challenges in designing & maintaining ProdERP enhancements. In addition, they will be expected to make the environment more streamlined and scalable for future organic and inorganic growth.
Responsibilities include:
* Staff Team of competent finance/system savvy individuals to implement ProdERP upgrade
* Aggressively communicate finance requirements to program team
* Define the scope, methodology, and resources for deployment within Finance
* Drive team performance to achieve plan deliverables
* Communicate project plan, issues, status to Finance staff and organization
* Help coordinate/balance strict controls between process/systems improvements and upgrade execution
* Make decisions on design alternatives and escalate as needed
* Evaluate and communicate risks which impact schedule and deliverables
* Assess quality of Standard Operating Procedures, training, and testing plans
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and minimum of seven years of financial work experience; or High School Diploma/GED and minimum of fifteen years financial work experience
* Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
* Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas
* Leadership experience: has minimum of two years experience leading team members
* Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
* Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, Hyperion, COGNOS, etc.), strong Excel skills including pivot tables, VLookup, Macros
* Experience with major IT implementations/integration/data migration projects
* Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
* You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background
* You must be willing to take a drug test
* You must be legally authorized to work in the United States
* You must be willing to work out of an office located in Wauwatosa, WI
* Willingness to travel 20-30% of time as needed to global locations (Americas, Europe, Asia)
Desired:
* Experience with Clinical Systems ERPs and reporting environments a plus
* Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE Values
* Experience leading in a matrixed environment
* Adaptable/flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
* Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
* Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma
* Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP), Experienced Financial Leadership Program (EFLP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS); or graduate of other financial leadership programs
