Project Accountant to $60k+ - Construction

As an integral part of the Project team the Project Accountant will provide quality financial services to the Project. Quality financial services include Contract review, Billings, Work-in-Place Reporting, Subcontractor and General Condition payments, and Cash Reporting. The Project Accountant will follow company Policy and Procedures and will communicate any potential profitability or risk to management. The position requires an excellent knowledge of Accounting Principles and excellent organization skills to ensure timely and accurate reporting. The Project Accountant should be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task. Collect and analyze various financial data with extensive follow-up in a deadline and detail oriented environment. Interact with multiple departments and Business Units throughout the organization. Perform general accounting tasks as assigned. Understand and apply accounting theory and company policy. Requires a self-starter with ability to work under general supervision. Corporate business attire is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Maintain project ledger.
-Audit and process monthly subcontractor billings.
-Prepare monthly billing to owner.
-Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
-Assume responsibility for cash forecasts and reports.
-Monitor and process employee expense reports.
-Perform various account analysis and reconciliation.
-Complete and/or supervise A/P and A/R functions.
-Assist in management of project closeout.
-Work on special projects as directed by the Supervisor or the Assistant Regional Controller.
-Perform other duties as needed.

-Balance sheet account reconciliation.
-Depreciation schedules.
-Completion of various government reports.
-Journal entry data entry.
-Special projects as assigned.
-Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
Minimum of four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have proficiency in computer applications.
