JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Perform management functions such as interviewing, hiring, monitor performance, progressive discipline, mentoring, and employee development.
Manage and coordinate the prioritization and tracking of LabCorp financial systems projects.
Guide the department towards achieving specific goals set forth by upper management.
Assign workloads to associates based on their individual abilities to ensure team goals are accomplished.
Develop associates professionally by identifying improvement areas, providing training/tools, and counseling on best work practices.
Recommend solutions and courses of action to provide a basis for upper management for decisions.
Work with and lead associates to understand business operations.
Work with and lead associates to work with IT Development and business operations to define business rules for financial system enhancements.
Manage and coordinate the validation process to ensure successful implementation of financial system enhancements.
Provide leadership, guidance and expertise in troubleshooting and resolving problems.
Create and maintain supervisory, departmental, and business essential documentation.
Develop and maintain project plans that effectively define objectives, scope, deliverables, resources, timeframes, etc.
Assist upper management with the budget process and expense monitoring.

Required:
Excellent ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Understanding of accounting principals and proficiency with numbers.
Ability to query databases and generate reports using QMF, Access, and/or other current query mechanisms.
Thorough knowledge of PC systems operations.
Knowledge of Excel, Access, Word.
Ability to work independently.
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.
Knowledge of Healthcare Industry including HIPAA transactions and code sets.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Administrative: Ability to relate professionally with people, analytical abilities, compose

letters/memorandum, coordinate events, motivate others, organizational skills, research information, time management, train employees, written and verbal communications, supervisory skills.

Machine: Calculator, personal computer.

Physical Demands: Speech clarity, repetitive motions?making frequent movements with fingers and hands, standing?remaining on one?s feet in an upright position, sitting?remaining in the normal seated position, handling?seizing, holding, grasping, or otherwise working with hands.

Vision Requirements: Able to pass standardized color vision test, as required by test performed.

License/Certification/Education: Degree in computer technology and 5+ years of experience managing, analyzing, and assisting in the development of Healthcare billing systems. Level of project management experience will be considered in the absence of degree.
