The role of the project manager is to manage projects and programs that support the team mission of equipping managers with the skill sets, tools, and processes that improve individual and team members? performance in order to significantly improve employee engagement. In addition, the role will support TF?s efforts to equip employees with the framework, the tools and the understanding to manage and build their own careers at Thomson Financial.
This role manages global projects for all TF employees worldwide. The majority of projects the individual will be the primary decision-maker (based on the level of hire). There will be some projects where this role will partner with the Director of Talent Management & Development. In addition, this role also coordinates with the Talent & Performance Management and Thomson University COE on effective delivery of programs and processes. Lead the Performance Management process through developing communications, training and timelines. Coach managers on effective feedback techniques. Work with HRBPs to monitor participation in the process.Design a career development framework and supporting tools/training and promote to all employees (new project)Conduct 360 debrief sessions for as needed and offer internal coaching support to managersWork with managers and HRBPs to procure and/or design curricula and specific training programs to support competency modelsDeliver TF-sponsored training sessions that support our mission (career development workshops, mentoring, TFMF)Works with HRBPS & employee communications to evaluate and improve Orientation practices and proceduresPartner with HRBPs and Director of Talent Management & Development to assist senior managers in cascading the talent management process to lower levels of the organization. Key focus will be on development planning.Support business sponsored mentoring and/or professional networksDesign and administer robust assessment process for key learning programs Successful execution of projectsAbility to meet tasks assigned from Mission AnalysisAbility to meet metrics in missionSenior manager and participant satisfaction in programsPartnerships with HRBPs and clients
Education: Bachelor?s degree required in HR or organizational behavior field, Master?s preferred.
Experience: At least 5 years experience in learning & development, HR project management, training or performance/career management. Experience working in a large, global, matrixed organization is a plus. Need to be able to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines. Critical Skills required: Project management Strategic thinking Resource alignment Consulting skills Relationship management / Customer-oriented approach Vendor management Communication skills (written & verbal) Analytical/critical thinking Skills Creative problem solving Presentation/Facilitation skills The role interfaces with the EVP of Human Resources, senior and junior HRBPs & colleagues, all levels of management.
