Purchasing Assistant (068975)

JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS:

Processes and expedites purchase orders. Researches and resolves problems associated with purchase order processing. Analyzes pre-negotiated contracts. Interfaces with regions and vendors as well as company accounts payable and F.I.S.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Administrative: Answer telephones, maintain logs/records, organizational skills, proficiency with numbers, research information, time management, train employees, use computerized databases, written and verbal communications.

Machine: Calculator, personal computer.

Physical Demands: Speech clarity, repetitive motions?making frequent movements with fingers and hands, standing?remaining on one?s feet in an upright position, sitting?remaining in the normal seated position, handling?seizing, holding, grasping, or otherwise working with hands.

Vision Requirements: Able to pass standardized color vision test, as required by test performed.

License/Certification/Education: Normally requires a High School Diploma or equivalent w/additional business education preferred w/1-2 years of experience.
