Quality Assurance Analyst

DELTA DENTAL OF CALIFORNIA, a proven leader in the healthcare industry, is the state?s largest dental health carrier.  Together, the holding company members represent one of the largest dental benefits systems in the country, with 21 million enrollees.  At this time, Delta Dental has an opening for a QA Analyst in the Client Services Department

 

PURPOSE:

 

Gather and analyze quality assurance and performance data for the Group File Analyst staff.  Work with senior quality assurance analyst and trainers to identify training opportunities, promote continuous quality improvement throughout the department and develop appropriate procedures.  Assist trainers in developing appropriate content for training modules.

 

FUNCTIONS:

 Apply statistical sampling methodologies to conduct regular and ongoing quality assurance reviews of functions completed at the group file analyst desk.  Apply computer skills to maintain QA data and other pertinent information as required. Provide quality assurance data to the senior QA analyst in an agreed upon format. Identify strengths and weaknesses in processing activities and make recommendations for improvement.  Work in conjunction with training staff and senior QA analyst to identify training needs, develop and test procedures to improve the quality of work performed Ensure corrections are completed timely and that the managers understand the results providing additional information as needed.Provide back up support to the trainers and technical expertise as neededAttend benefit fairs and open enrollment meetings as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Pass QA Analyst exam
  ? Two to three years experience in group file updating and/or claims processing
  ? Understanding of healthcare group set-up process preferred
  ? Prior quality assurance or audit experience preferred
  ? Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  ?Synthesizes complex, detailed and diverse information
  ?Works collaboratively to identify possible solutions 
  ?  Shares ideas and information with team members 
  ?  Identifies underlying root cause of the issue 
  ?  Uses intuition and experience to analyze data
? Exhibits effective listening and comprehension skills 
  ? Speaks and write clearly and concisely 
  ? Respects the confidentiality of sensitive information
  ?Works ethically and with integrity  Meets customer service expectations and requirements
