St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, University Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, is a 1,076-bed, full-service community and tertiary care hospital. St. Luke's-Roosevelt was formed in 1979 by a merger of St. Luke's Hospital, adjacent to the campus of Columbia University, and The Roosevelt Hospital, located two blocks west of Columbus Circle. The St. Luke's and Roosevelt Hospitals, established in 1846 and 1871, respectively, brought to their merger extraordinary records of medical "firsts" and commitment to their patients.



 Opportuntiy:





Financial duties include, but are not limited to, input of monthly Income and Expenditure data for Sponsored Projects awarded to St. Luke?s- Roosevelt Hospital Center.  Maintain clinical trial income activity and report status to Post Award Manager.  Provide monthly account activity report to Manager of Post Award Administration and assist with the preparation of various financial reports. Ensure accounts are set up and awards are booked by Finance Department. Work collaboratively with Finance to identify special funds deposited into Lock-box.  Maintain Lock-box database.  General clerical duties.

Grants related duties include data entry to update Research Administration databases. Perform IRB billing and follow-up.  Generate grant/contract termination reminders and follow-up with research staff.  General clerical activities for grants office.  Duties may expand to negotiating clinical trials with industry and assisting with grant applications.

 

Requirements:

An Associate?s Degree or equivalent to at least 3 years of experience in accounting.  Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.  Excellent communication and organizational skills required.  Also, must have initiative and flexibility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
