Regional Sales Director

RSM McGladrey Retirement Resources, a focused leader on creating retirement plan solutions that meet the needs of small to midsized businesses has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Director in our SW territory.

This position will be responsible for assisting in the growth of Retirement Resources by building and developing new client business, and will cultivate new business within the existing RSM McGladrey client base. The sales director will sell retirement plan services and products that meet the needs of RSM McGladrey Retirement Resources and RSM McGladrey clients.

Background/Work Experience Required:
* Must have solid 5 years of experience selling retirement plans
* Broker for retirement solutions; can effectively discuss any aspect of a retirement solution
* Must have the ability to generate $350,000 of new annual recurring revenue or greater each year
* Must have demonstrated success in soliciting new business and selling products and service to broad client base
* Must have consulting experience with strong knowledge of ERISA, DOL, IRS, 404C and retirement plan laws
* Must be able to present one on one, small groups "C" level executives and Boards of Directors
* Must possess excellent consultation, presentation and closing skills
* Must understand the retirement plan industry and the competitors within it
* Must be a self-starter with ability to plan and market products and services in order to achieve annual sales goal
* Must be able to develop and maintain positive client relations
* Clean U-4 is essential
* Must have NASD Series 6, 63 and/or 7 licenses and variable life licenses
* Team player with strong ability and desire to problem solve
* Position requires absolute adherence to deadlines with emphasis on follow-through and completion to meeting objectives
* Ability to travel 60%

Additional Experience Preferred but not required:
* Above average personal computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity, spreadsheet, formatting, keyboarding, internet capabilities and parameters or templates used to transfer data from one software to another
* A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but will accept less than a college degree with the appropriate work experience
* NASD Series 65 license preferred

* Must be a self-starter and be self-motivated to develop business
* Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
* Must set high standards for both personal and team productivity, and meet client deadlines

Responsibilities and Duties:
* Ability to build new partnerships and maintain/nurture partnerships within Economic Unit and distribution sources
* A proven documented five years successful sales track record in the retirement plan industry
* Have developed a successful consultative sales process
* Monitor media sources for industry, client and prospective client news data by maintaining up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends and government regulations
* Manage/Grow Account - resolves client issues, monitors client satisfaction, cross-sell to existing client, and ensures informtion flow to account lead
* Network with local RSM McGladrey office in order to develop positive relations that will deliver future business referrals. Work with business developer to meet with CSCs and prospects
* Obtain and maintain Retirement Resources product lines knowledge. Keep informed on changes in the industry, and upgrade personal knowledge on all Retirement Resources product lines in order to meet clients' changing needs
* Will utilize all sales tools for tracking purposes, i.e., Prospect Tracker
* Upon securing a new client, will work with team members to ensure follow-through on service delivery and development of on-going relationship
