Major Duties and Functions Include:
This position is responsible for supporting reinsurance administration systems requirements from the user perspective for the MetLife IB Reinsurance Administration organization in the Boston office and the ongoing user systems support required to maintain ceded and assumed reinsurance for all MetLife franchises. Testing activities include a wide range of functions related to the support of these agreements, including implementing new treaties, revisions to existing treaties, new rates, new calculations to treaties, ledger interfaces, and developing or supporting administration ACCESS applications.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing test plans, test files, and conducting user acceptance testing.
Develop test plans for implementation of new systems, conversion of existing systems, addition of new treaties to existing systems, and changes to existing reinsurance systems.
Construct test files calculating expected results based upon reinsurance treaties as the basis for user acceptance testing
Conduct user acceptance testing based upon systems requirements outlined in the test plan and test file and provide sign off to IT for production implementation
Support ACCESS programs utilized within reinsurance administration in support of death claim processing, reinsurance assumed processing, and financial reporting.
Implement treaty parameters into systems database tables for new treaties and changes to existing treaties.
Provide ad-hoc reports to administration drawn from reinsurance administration databases or files. What You Need to Succeed:


College degree with technical orientation
Strong background in user acceptance testing required
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including a strong knowledge of Excel, Access, TSO, and mainframe file maintenance.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to research and resolve problems.
Proven ability to work independently, to manage multiple tasks, and to deliver accurate and detailed results within firm deadlines
Ability to interact effectively with administration and IT members of project teams as a team player.
Insurance industry experience and general understanding of financial services industry a plus.
