Columbia Management delivers proprietary investment products to clients, including equity, fixed income and money market separate accounts and CMG’s wide array of mutual fund offerings. The company’s mutual funds span asset classes and styles, with particular strength in large- and multi-cap growth, balanced funds, small- and mid-cap equity, international and specialty areas. CMG’s distribution channels include institutional sales and service teams, wholesaling teams dedicated to financial intermediaries (CFDI), and the liquidity strategies sales and service teams.

 

The Research Analyst will be responsible for supporting the trading and portfolio management efforts of the taxable and tax-exempt money market and short-term funds, as well as other longer duration fixed-income securities portfolios. 

 

Duties include

(1) performing credit analysis and writing research reports on companies in a number of industrial sectors;

(2) performing special projects;

(3) developing new and maintaingin existing research databases; and

(4) acting as a liaison with other credit research teams.

 

 



The ideal candidate will have a MBA and 5+ years of industrial credit analysis experience, perferably multi-sector experience.  The candidate must be logical, detail- and team-oriented, able to take directions from senior staff, and multi-task.  Familiarity with excel, word, access and powerpoint.  Strong written and oral communications skills are necessary.  Formal credit training background strongly preferred.
