Risk Analyst

CITY: Chicago STATE: Illinois COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Review In-Fleet transactions and provide recommendations for transactions.
* Prepare written credit analysis for new investment or large transactions.
* Perform credit investigations, including financial analysis and customer interviews
* Analyze all inherent business, industry, collateral and other risks in determining whether to pursue opportunity
* Assist Account Managers with prescreening and structuring of transactions
* Assist in structuring deals and negotiating all aspects of a deal to closing, including preparation of transaction documentation
* Be integral part of cross-functional deal team focused on closing of complex transactions.
* Ensure adherence to established GE underwriting standards
* Manage customer relationships effectively during underwriting process and keep Account Managers and Account Representatives appropriately informed as needed
* Assist in preparation of quarterly portfolio review with GE Equipment Services senior management and special presentations, as needed



Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
* 3+ years of finance and/or risk experience including 1+ years of credit underwriting experience
* Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Must be eligible to work in the United States, sponsorship is not being provided
* Willingness to work in Chicago, relocation assistance is not being provided
* Willingness to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification and background check




Desired:
* Experience in Rail or Equipment Leasing preferred
* Ability to handle multiple competing priorities simultaneously
* Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Self-starter - takes initiative and is proactive in moving transactions through the pipeline
* Strong credit expertise and analytic skills
* Strong financial acumen
* Previous commercial finance equipment based lending underwriting experience, preferably in a bank or finance company environment
* Familiarity with Siebel customer management system
