SOX Tools & QA Prime

The position will play two key roles: (1) the Global SOX Team?s Tool expert and coordinator and (2) a Quality Assurance Prime to ensure the SOX Team produces high quality deliverables.

Global SOX Team Tool Expert & Coordinator Roles and Responsibilities: The position will be required to fully understand Nortel?s custom SOX tool which is used to manage the entire SOX process from beginning to end by storing, managing, manipulating and reporting SOX data. The position will also need to fully understand the SOX methodology and process and how the tool manages/interfaces with this process.
Additionally the position will be required to:
? Work with the Global SOX to resolve reported issues with the tool?s functionality
? Design and perform the on-going UAT for all changes/fixes/new reports/future tool enhancements as well as design the enhancement requirements for future development ensuring the design addresses the methodology standards and the Global SOX Team's needs. This will involve working closely with the development team.
? Train Global SOX Team on tool functionality. Develop training materials with the Training team including comprehensive tool User manuals with the Training team
QA Roles and Responsibilities: The position will perform many QA functions to ensure the Global SOX Team deliverables includes process, testing and deficiency deliverables are high quality and globally consistent, meeting all internal methodology standards and external requirements. The position will need to provide feedback to the Global SOX Team on QA reviews performed and ensure that all issues identified through the QA process are addressed in a timely manner.


Professional Expertise and Required Experience

The Position is required to have commerce, accounting, finance or business administration university degree as well as project management experience. The position must have internal controls and SOX knowledge and experience. This position requires excellent problem solving skills, strong attention to detail and an ability to multi-task in a complex environment.

Preferred:
? A CA or CPA designation
? Experience as an external auditor
? Project Management experience
