Sales Analyst/Accountant

Large, Fortune 500 Company has a immediate opening for a Sales Analyst/Accountant.  This opportunity offers a great mix of accounting and financial analysis responsibilities.  The position is with a "house-hold" name company with a flexible work environment and great benefits. 

 

Responsibilities include:

?  Member of the Revenue Department responsible for enforcing revenue recognition policy.

?  Run revenue import and general ledger import processes which revenue test posted transactions in the general ledger and post entry changes back to the general ledger.

?  Audit customer purchase orders with deferred revenue to ensure the accuracy of order

  management data input in SAP, the shipment of complete or functional systems, and

  customer acceptance.

?  Responsible for compiling and distributing the Daily Flash reports stating month to date sales and orders by business unit.

?  Responsible for monthly journal entries to reclass interunit and intraunit revenue in the General Ledger.

?  Responsible for monthly journal entries to reclass volume discounts, credits, and penalties in the General Ledger.

?  Responsible for booking monthly freight costs to the Standard Margin Analysis to match the General Ledger.

?  Reconcile monthly revenue account differences between the General Ledger and Standard Margin Analysis for each business unit.

?  Reconcile monthly deferred revenue account differences between the General Ledger and the Revenue Information Management System.





 

 

Requirements:

?  Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance (Accounting strongly preferred).

?  4+ years of relevant experience (some general ledger experience required).

?  Experience working with a Sales organization required (revenue recognition)

?  SAP experience is a plus
