Countrywide Financial Corporation?s Securities Administration Group is responsible for:
Deal Settlement Analysis - Ensure the smooth and timely posting of deal information to various outside entities and systems.
Investor/Rating Agency Service - Maintain and develop relationships and generate goodwill by executing responsibilities in the most competent, efficient and customer-responsive manner possible. Includes research and analysis of loan level and bond level issues.
Risk Management - Effectively manage and minimize the legal and financial exposure to the Company through thorough analysis of the issues.
This position will be responsible for the operation and analytical tasks associated with all private label security transactions. With direction from the team manager, will coordinate and execute all post settlement deal functions and analysis.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Respond to inquiries: Effects the timely resolution of all post-settlement issues and investor requests arising in connection with each transaction, including documentation deficiencies or data presentation requests. Acts as company's point person for all such issues.
- Compliance: Ensure that all post closing compliance and regulatory requirements are being met.
- Post-Closing Coordination: Understand the nature of the deals settling in a given month. - Coordinate data collection with Transaction Analyst to ensure timely and accurate distribution of information. Reviewing and understanding the structure of the transaction.
- Reporting: Post deal information on Company websites. Ensure that all information on sites is accurate and timely. Ensure that external entities have correct information. Troubleshoot any issues.
A successful candidate will:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
- Experience within the mortgage financing industry preferred.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income markets is preferred.
- Above average understanding and knowledge of math and/or finance.
- Substantial breadth of analytical, communication and organizational skills.
- PC proficiency with MS Word and Excel. SQL is a plus.
