This position is responsible for leading key areas of the monthly accounting close, financial reporting, audit and SOX compliance process.

Responsibilities: Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, such as cash, prepaid, stockholders? equity, investments and accrued liabilities. Review and analyze key P&L accounts and provide monthly and quarterly operation results and financial positions. Prepare legal entity financials and monthly business segment financials. Research accounting pronouncements and their impact on the Company. Improve and streamline the efficiency of the 3-day close and reports. Implement and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures and controls for assigned areas. Assist in the preparation of 10Q/10K work papers and financial information in compliance with GAAP, SEC and other governmental reporting requirements. Prepare external audit schedules in compliance with GAAP. Prepare accurate and timely reports for governmental reporting. Work with other organizations to design automated solutions to business problems. Perform and maintain account reconciliation activities to insure the integrity and accuracy of the accounting records. Develop, maintain and publish monthly metrics to measure accounting effectiveness. Ensure that transactions are accurately and timely reflected on the financial statements. Perform other special projects and assignments in support of finance team as required.



Qualifications: Experience with accounting processes (journals, close, GL, reconciliation and analysis) Experience with financial systems applications (Oracle Financials 11i a plus) Ability to mine, manipulate, and analyze large quantities of data (Excel, Access) Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail a must Ability to effectively interact with multiple functional departments Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines Strong time management and organizational skills Experience with business process improvement techniques a plus Degree in business, accounting, or finance CPA or equivalent experience a plus Minimum of 5 years experience in finance/accounting positions. Telecommunications experience a strong plus.
