Senior Accountant II (GGCS)

This position's primary function will be accounting for Gatorade Global Concentrate Sourcing and ambient juice bases. ?These affiliate purchases involve complex transactions across multiple locations which impact many different parties. ?Therefore, an ability to maintain a global perspective as well as managing the day to day activity is critical. ?The incumbent will determine and communicate how transactions (and adjustments) flow through each system from start to finish to ensure that the desired outcome is achieved.

In addition, this position will be responsible for controlling several contract manufactures, preparing various variance workpapers at period end, supporting departmental projects and initiatives, and preparing annual reporting schedules.

Detailed functions include:

* Daily accounting for intercompany purchases from affiliates in Ireland and Puerto Rico. ?This encompasses, reconciling shipments to orders, resolving discrepancies, and preparing the cash settlement authorizations.

* Be able to design, communicate, and oversee/support processes that enhance the GGCS and juice base accounting.

* Calculate and communicate inventory eliminations with respect to the intercompany purchases.

* Perform the control function for several contract manufacturing locations.

* Perform selected month end variance reporting for QTGNA.

* Provide support to various departmental and company projects and initiatives.

* Prepare annual reporting schedules and tax packages.

* Ad hoc reporting with respect to intercompany transactions, co-packers, and variances.

* Provide suggestions for streamlining cost accounting processes and procedures.

* Provide guidance to plaza and field personnel on areas of expertise.

* Set-goals for and provide guidance to the GGCS Accountant.

* Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.

* Two to four years of accounting experience.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Familiarity with Quaker's core transaction systems (MSA general ledger, Genesis Subledger, DCS, MMS, etc.).

* Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access knowledge.

* Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.

* Ability to function well within a team environment.
