Senior Accounting Analyst - International Finance & Accounting

Responsible for international accounting tasks, reviewing and analyzing international financial results and activity, and applying US GAAP to ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial data.  Also responsible for preparing schedules and providing answers to questions relating to audits of the financial statements.  Assist International Markets with Corporate policy and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.  May be responsible for the supervision, mentoring and coaching of accounting analysts.  Various special projects as needed.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete various international accounting tasks, including (but not limited) financial statement consolidations, variance analysis, monthly account reconciliation, prepare/review/analyze International account reconciliation's and manage inter-company process. 
Compile financial reporting and analysis for international markets
Apply US GAAP to international entity reporting
Document problems or discrepancies and provide solutions for referral to management.
Provide detailed analysis of monthly Balance sheet account variances in preparation for Balance sheet review meeting and on-going compliance with Corporate Accounting policies and procedures/internal controls.
Assist Managers and Director in identifying and deploying best accounting practices throughout the international division
Assist in implementation of new GAAP guidance in international markets and review for compliance.

 





 

 


Technical Knowledge/ Skills:

Intermediate knowledge of GAAP .
Very strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.
Advanced Excel and Hyperion Skills
Knowledge of PeopleSoft
Ability to communicate effectively with senior management
Ability to multi-task and be flexible

Education / Experience:
Minimum:

4 year degree in Accounting or Finance
3 — 5 years of related experience, public accounting experience desirable
