Senior Advisor, Finance and Performance Management - Dallas-004ZH

Description Finance and Performance Management (F&PM) helps clients improve business performance through a focus on providing business advisory services that achieve measurable benefits in operational effectiveness and strategic decision making.

We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior to serve as a member of multiple client engagement teams. The Senior will work with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services. F&PM services include Finance Function Strategy, Finance Organizational Design and Development, Finance Operational Effectiveness, Finance and Operational Systems Effectiveness, Management Information and Decision Support.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel. Collaborate to plan the engagement. Direct daily fieldwork, informs supervisors of the engagement status, and manages staff performance. Understand and execute advisory services procedures including client interviews, problem analysis, and advanced fact gathering.

Manage expectations of deliverables and timing. Stay informed of general business/economic developments and understands their impact to the client.

Develop people. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/training. Foster an innovative and team-oriented work environment.

Commit to developing knowledge. Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery. Respect/protect client information. Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills.

Achieve growth. Understand E&Y's service lines and actively seek/encourage team members to identify opportunities to apply the firm's services and bring value to clients.

Qualifications

To qualify, candidates must have:

* a bachelor's and/or master's degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, MIS (business perspective) and/or Business
* 2-5 years experience in providing advisory services in the finance function and other operational areas that impact the finance function (e.g. Order to Cash; Procure to Pay; Close to Report; Budgeting and Planning, Shared Services/Outsourcing)

* willingness to travel on short notice to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 80%
