Senior Analyst - Growing Media

This position will be responsible for accounting functions within Growing Media such as the capital process, preparing month end reporting and forecasting, preparing journal entries related to adjustment to margin, maintaining reserve accounts on the balance sheet. They would perform detailed analysis as needed of the business and recommend solutions for any issues found and monitor and correct errors in plant financials.  This position would also manage the Standardization process, budgeting and would oversee Kronos and Sarbannes-Oxley.

 

Key Work Performed:Perform Accounting Functions at month end and year end including Reporting and Forecasting and complex reconciliations - 35%Drive the Standardization process at plant level - 15%Assist in budgeting process at plant and corporate level - 12% Verify that all Sarbannes-Oxley requirements are met - 10%Analysis of Financial Statements - 10%Prepare marketing and quality analysis - 8%Maintain Kronos system at Corporate - 8%Perform audits of PARs - 2%

 

Qualifications

 

Education: Bachelors Degree in business field or equivalent with MBA preferred.

 

Experience:5-7 years relevant experience. CPA or CMA a plus.

 

 Knowledge:Expert knowledge of SAP, Excel and Access

 

 Skills and Abilities:Ability to work independentlyAbility to understand complex accounting issues
