Senior Credit Analyst

This established growing global brokerage firm is looking for an energetic, highly organized Senior Credit Analyst to analyze and monitor counterparty creditworthiness, as part of its Risk Management Group.  The ideal candidate will work well in a team environment, have strong financial statement analysis skills, excellent writing skills, strong computer skills, and be able to communicte effectively with brokers, customers, and senior management. The candidate should have an understanding of different types of counterparties including public and private corporations, broker/dealers, hedge funds, and private individuals. The candidate should also be comfortable taking the lead on projects and helping to train junior staff members. Credit training, experience with derivatives, and experience with fixed income products are preferred.  Duties include:

 

Obtaining financial information on public and non-public companies

Updating financial spreadsheets

Writing Credit Reviews

Updating databases to monitor established trading limits

Preparing and presenting credit reviews and summary tables to the Brokerage Division Credit Committee

Working on ad hoc Credit related projects

 

Excellent Excel and Word skills

Knowledge of Acrobat, Access and Outlook

Experience using Bloomberg and the Internet to pull financial data and conduct research
