Senior Credit Risk Analyst

Drive Financial Services LP, a Dallas-based subsidiary of HBOS plc, is a national consumer finance company that operates in the automobile financing sector. Drive purchases retail installment contracts from automobile dealers for consumers with limited or below-average credit histories who are unable to obtain financing from traditional sources.


The Senior Credit Risk Analyst shall be responsible for performing analytical research related to the indirect automobile portfolio to assist the credit and servicing department in meeting their operational goals.  The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will also work with Senior Management on setting corporate expectations.


Essential Functions:
*Analyze portfolio trends for risks and opportunities relative to credit, collateral, and operational efficiencies
*Develop sound testing analysis to include cost-benefit analysis of different acquisition / portfolio strategies
*Develop project plans that include analysis and post-implementation monitoring
*Develop portfolio forecasting tools designed to aid corporate departments in planning and securitizing activities, plus as an aid in operational goals for the Credit and Servicing departments
*Develop pricing, acquisition and portfolio tactical analysis
*Analyze hiring needs of credit, marketing and servicing departments to aid in acquisition and portfolio growth
*Present analysis to management in a clear, concise and actionable format


Other Functions:
*Special projects as requested
*Performs other duties as assigned


Requirements:
*Bachelors degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research or related field required, advanced degree preferred
*Minimum three (3) years experience in the financial services industry; sub-prime auto experience desired
*Advanced proficiency in software including Excel, database tools such as Access and SQL, statistical software such as SAS, and OLAP tools such as Brio and Cognos
*Ability to multitask and prioritize
*Effective communication skills
*Ability to effectively explain to others how to understand and approach complicated issues
*Ability to translate analysis into a clear business plan
