Our client is leading supplier of life science technology and related applications, helping life scientists understand and use the power of biology to pursue new scientific discoveries and methods for diagnosing and treating disease. They currently have an opening for a Senior Finance Manager, Manufacturing.



Global Consumable Manufacturing is responsible for the financial management and analysis of Global Consumable Manufacturing. This person will partner with operational managers at 2 US sites and a site in the UK, cost accounting, and corporate finance to drive continuous improvement and ensure accurate understanding of financial metrics.



Other Major Responsibilities Include:

? Lead an organization of five

? Actively partner with manufacturing managers to develop financial plans, evaluate business opportunities, and influence financial performance (Gross Margin, Spending, Inventory).

? Coordinate analysis of monthly actual results versus plan and forecast.

? Manage the monthly unit cost reporting and analysis.

? Develop and implement initiatives to improve the consumables business and financial processes.

? Lead annual budgeting efforts and set levels for spending, capital, and headcount based on agreed upon plant capacity.

? Provide training to operational managers to assist them in understanding actual results, forecasts, and budgets.

? Work on special projects and perform ad-hoc analyses as requested.



Skills/qualifications:

? MBA preferred or BA/BS in Accounting/Finance with equivalent experience.

? 4-8 years experience in an Accounting or Financial Analysis role, including two or more years manufacturing experience.

? Ability to work independently, achieve deadlines, and interact with all levels of management.

? Proven track record of leadership, initiative, and achievement of deadlines

? Ability to work independently and interact with all levels of management. ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent analytical, problem solving, and accounting skills.

? Challenges status quo; drives process improvement; builds consensus and drives execution among team members

? Excellent PC Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft excel required, SAP and Hyperion essbase/enterprise preferred
