Position Summary:

Work as part of Mercury's Focused Business (FBU) and Service & Parts (S&P) finance and management teams. Play a key role in the reporting, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning of these two business units, with particular focus on and responsibility for the Service & Parts unit (including the Parts, Oils & Lubricants, Service, and Mercury Product Protection businesses).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in the development, review and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance of FBU and S&P. Determine key drivers impacting company P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and BVA performance. Summarize results and provide insight into the business units' performance for Mercury and Brunswick management. Review group accounting procedures to ensure consistent and appropriate handling of accounting transactions, in accordance with GAAP.
Analyze the monthly financial reporting for the Service & Parts (S&P) organization. Prepare ad hoc and on-going analysis for S&P and Mercury Finance management, and provide recommendations to management based on this financial analysis.
Provide on-going financial support for the FBU and S&P organizations, including modeling, make vs. buy analysis, Appropriation Request preparation, sales and cost analysis, Lean Six Sigma project reviews, and other information necessary to improve company decision-making.
Develop the five-year strategic plan forecast, budget and monthly forecasts for multiple FBU/S&P businesses, and prepare supplemental analyses/presentations to explain and support these projections.
Oversee the collection and tracking of the FBU/S&P Balance Sheet account reconciliations. Prepare reconciliations as required, and maintain SOX documentation for the group.
Working with the FBU/S&P Cost Accountant and Mercury Inventory Accounting, measure and analyze product cost changes, review reserve and other inventory-related adjustments, and ensure the proper handling of the group's inventory transactions.
Work directly with FBU, S&P, and Mercury Finance management, as well as with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other subject matter experts to develop better business analyses and respond to information requests from across the organization.
Provide ad hoc analysis and lead special projects as needed.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements

Ability to work with all levels of functional, divisional and corporate management
Ability to manage multiple priorities with appropriate attention to details
Proficiency with Microsoft and Oracle applications as well as database reporting tools
Knowledge of company policies
Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

4-6 years of Accounting/Finance experience
BS in Accounting or Finance required
CPA or CMA certification preferred
Manufacturing experience preferred
