We currently have a Senior Financial Analyst- Partner Labs career opportunity at our Dallas, TX location.

 

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Senior Financial Analyst will interface with Regional Management Team and Finance to analyze financial and operational data in order to measure and compare profitability and identify improvement opportunities:

 

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Month end close ? The Senior Financial Analyst will insure the accuracy of the financial information during the close process and help identify where efficiencies can be established.  This includes:

?  P&L 

?  Unit Costs

?  Inventory Control

?  Regional Business Unit Reporting

?  Capital Review/Analysis

 

Monthly report ? The Senior Financial Analyst will develop management reports for their regions Regional Management Team to use as a tool to monitor and control their profitability.

?  Develop and maintain for each lab in their region comprehensive and summarized reporting package to monitor the performance each month in all critical areas ? sales, gross margin, expenses, inventory, productivity, etc.

?  Develop profitability models for each lab to measure and project performance

?  Develop and monitor customer profitability models

?  Gather and analyze regional market penetration data

?  Create variance analyses compared to forecast, budget, and history to identify threats and opportunities.

?  Develop a business partner relationship with their Regional Management Team by providing them with the means to understand their sales, margin, and expenses while providing them with ideas of improving their business.

 

Budget and Forecasting ? The Senior Financial Analyst will assist the Regional Management Team and the Finance Team to produce an annual budget and monthly forecast for their Region.

?  Produce annual budget with input from top management and operations.

?  Produce regional forecast in conjunction with the ELOA annual forecast process

 

Special Projects ? The Senior Financial Analyst will support Regional VP and the Director of Business Analysis on special projects for profit improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement.

?  Identify opportunities to reduce cost and increase profitability throughout the organization.  Initiate projects to achieve improvements in these areas.

?  Work on any assigned projects to produce timely, accurate, and actionable results.

?  Analyze capital projects to identify potential returns on investment.

 

Lab Integration ? The Senior Financial Analyst will interface with multiple Finance departments to assist in the integration of acquired labs into ELOA.

 

Liaison between finance and regional management team ? The Senior Financial Analyst will interact between finance and regional management to identify opportunities for improvement.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

?  Bachelor of Business Administration ? preferably a major in accounting or finance

?  Minimum of 5 years of Professional Experience with one to three years of experience in financial analysis or cost accounting in a manufacturing environment

?  Optical industry experience is a plus

?  Excellent personal computer skills ? spreadsheet, database, word processing

?  A self-motivator, eager to learn and grow

?  A team player, must be able to work with people within and outside of the finance department

?  A fast learner, able to learn the lab business in a short time

?  Excellent communication skills ? verbal, written and presentation

? Willing to travel and work overtime when necessary

? Customer service focus and attitude
