Senior Financial Analyst

 

The Company is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst based in Orange County, CA.  The position will report directly to the Director of Finance and will work closely with employees across the company?s operating groups and central services departments. The Company is looking for a finance professional with a strong track record and broad experience in finance and planning in an entrepreneurial environment.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

?  Critical review, analysis and consolidation of division submissions for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts as well as monthly operating results.  Monitor timeliness and completeness of data submitted

?  Assist Business Managers/Directors in understanding how to analyze variances and with other questions on budgeting and forecasting

?  Maintain budget and forecast database within the applicable financial reporting system

?  Assist in preparing written commentary for Executive Management of monthly operating results, forecasts / budgets and SEC reporting

?  Assisting in analyzing potential acquisitions

?  Preparing ad hoc analyses and working on special projects as they arise

?  Recommending cost containment strategies and efficiencies

?  Instrumental in the creation of an annual company budget and subsequent rolling forecasts for the entire P&L.

?  Responsible for the coordination of weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual performance vs. plan & various forecasts for distribution to senior management. 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 5+ years financial experience including budgeting and forecasting requiredBachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance or related fieldMBA preferred Excellent interpersonal skills are a must since position is required to elicit cooperation from financial personnel and business managers/directors across the companyExcellent written and oral communication skills.  The ability to explain relatively complex financial issues to people possessing lesser financial skills is requiredThoroughly familiar with PC based spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software applications, particularly ExcelExcellent analytical skills related to variance analysis. Strong attention to detailMust have the skills to critically review submissions from the operating units
