Senior Manager - Basel II and EC

Job Description: This position will involve lot of project oriented tasks with less quantitative and more qualitative focus in initial stages (up to 6 months). Then, the emphasis will shift to a more detailed analytics and analysis work. Statistical and financial modeling could be involved to a good extent towards medium and long term of this position. Knowledge of advanced modeling skills will be helpful.



Short to medium term:

Asset reconciliation and feed development, ensuring appropriate risk weights and risk parameterization applied to non-retail assets. Development, assistance in automation and analysis of RWA numbers based on Basel I. Analysis and reconciliation of RWA numbers based on GROUP calculation and US calculation. Monitoring of regulatory developments in Basel II. Analysis of Operational Risk Economic Capital and development of allocation methodologies to BU’s.



Long term:

Analysis of Economic Capital and RWA movement across BU’s. Complete analyses to identify and validate key variables of required economic and regulatory capital and integrate the developed underlying assumptions into the financial forecasting process. Analyze the potential economic and regulatory capital implications of business alternatives. Other strategic analysis projects as needed.

Job Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. MBA preferred

Minimum ten to twelve years proven financial project management experience

Experience with capital planning, regulatory capital, analysis or Basel II preferred

Proficiency with Excel, Word, Acrobat and Windows Explorer

Good financial and statistical modeling skills

Strong project management, presentation and verbal and written communication skills

Ability to apply sound business judgment in interpreting results of analyses and drawing conclusions

Ability to formulate solutions, weigh alternatives and recommend decisions

Critical thinker who can identify techniques for validating the completeness and propriety of data
