Senior Project Controller

The Space, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences Business Unit of SAIC currently has an opening for a Senior Project Contoller.


JOB DESCRIPTION: Scope: Assumes a supporting role in the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of projects with minimal supervision. Participates in the development of work breakdown structures (WBSs) and related dictionaries, resource loaded networks, and budgets that lead to the establishment of a cost/schedule baseline. Assists with the development and maintenance of estimates at completion. Works with financial administrators on preparing project authorization notices (PAN's), sets up charge numbers, and addresses accounting issues for projects. Tracks project costs and commitments and schedule performance and monitors performance against the baseline. Prepares written and verbal reports regarding cost and schedule variances. Works on problems of diverse scope. May determine methods and procedures to be used on new assignments and may serve in a lead role. Regularly interacts with outside customers and functional peer groups.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in related field and 12+ years related experience.

DESIRE SKILLS: Must have a strong Financial background in the financial systems. Prefer experience with SAP, Brio, or Deltek systems.
