Senior Sarbanes Oxley Anlyst

Job Summary Description: Assist Sr. Manager of SOX & Finance Compliance to ensure continual compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Section 404, including change management of documentation and planning/participation in testing of controls throughout the AZ organization.

Major Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall QA of documentation changes, including narratives, flowcharts, Risk and Control Matrices (RACM?s), and other documentation related to changes in business processes. This will include meeting with various Process/Control Owners, assessing the impact of the business changes, and reviewing changes made to the documentation to ensure compliance with AZ SOX requirements.
- Liaise with process/control owners on a monthly basis to ensure timely change management and communications, as well as ensuring SOX is embedded in their daily process.
- Gain a thorough understanding of Risk Navigator, which is the web based software tool for S404 at AZ, including running reports for various levels of management on the status of key controls and testing results.
- Work with Process/Control Owners to ensure the information in Risk Navigator is up-to-date and that testing results are incorporated as appropriate.
- Participate in the testing of key controls as required to support management testing and independent testing efforts including at third parties.
- Work with business process owners to evaluate control deficiencies, establish issues and action plans, and monitor remediation on a timely basis.
- Participate in the validation of the test scripts as a part of management testing
- Assist with training of new process owners and/or control owners to ensure they have the right level of understanding and knowledge to allow them to appreciate the demands of and be effective in their S404 roles.
- Assist with scheduling of all testing requirements for the US business (management, independent and external audit testing) including at third parties.
- Assist with special projects as required.

- Experience (5-7 years) in financial accounting and analysis

- Bachelor?s degree in relevant field (eg accounting, business)

Preferred Background
- MBA and/or CPA
- Prior audit experience
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
