Senior Tax Manager

The Senior International Tax Manager works with a great degree of independence, but with a high level of collegiality, functioning as a senior technical tax adviser and project supervisor. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising and reviewing the work of tax staff and more junior managers. Primary duties include:


Researching advanced international tax issues - working with taxing authorities and outside advisers as necessary - as part of a tax team involved in sophisticated global planning

Managing E&P analysis for foreign subsidiaries

Subpart F compliance and advising on related planning strategies

Management and optimization of foreign tax credits

Transfer Pricing support for foreign jurisdictions

Non-US Tax Audits - Provide assistance with developing audit defense strategies for non-US income tax audits

Management of inbound and outbound withholding taxes

Research and planning strategies with respect to financing, dividends, and treaty opportunities

Reviewing financial data for proper application of tax laws and advising on development and maintenance of accounting systems which provide tax information required to be reported

Reviewing local country compliance and recommending tax planning strategies

Assisting with managing SOX 404 compliance and implementation of best practice procedures

Maintaining and communicating knowledge of past, present and potential future tax laws, regulations, rulings, procedures and court decisions


?This is a very high visibility position that requires extensive interaction with all of the company's business units, so any candidate should be able to work well with cross functional teams. The candidate must be able to communicate very complex tax concepts in ways that are meaningful and useful to non-tax professionals.?



The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of international tax income tax experience with public accounting firm, major law firm, and/or multinational corporation.? The job requires excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough understanding of both subchapter C and the international tax provisions of the Internal Revenue Code and Regulations.
