Small Business Underwriter (Scored Plus Underwriter)

If you have some commercial credit underwriting experience and you want to take your skills to the next level, this is the job for you. You would be responsible for conducting credit analysis including gathering, analyzing and interpreting all types of credit information such as personal and commercial tax returns, business financial statements and various real estate information for existing and prospective business customers in the 24 states that USBank serves. The goal is to maximize credit and minimize risk and potential loss. You will approve and/or denies loans under $250M within your own lending authority and assist bankers on the proper structuring of loans. You will work with every type of business imaginable and expand your exposure to commercial credit. Once you?ve mastered this job there are opportunities to expand into larger and more complex loans. While we expect that you?ll possess a strong basic skill set, including excellent communication and people skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently, we also require:

 

If you have a strong consumer or leasing credit background and possess a degree in Accounting or Finance you could be a candidate for this position otherwise some commercial credit and analytical skills and a thorough understanding of general economic theory as it relates to the commercial lending and business environment is needed. Strong PC skills. Knowledge of risk analysis. Effective communication skills required. Typically requires a bachelor?s degree in a related field and one or more years related experience.
