Sr. Accounting Coordinator, Travel Services

Purpose

Responsible for reconciling, researching and clearing the Travel Services accounts from Expense Workplace, including large volume credit card payments, team member payments and advances. Also, airfare, hotel and rental car billings. Processing and reconciling the Travel Services Intercompany accounts. Contacting team members who have outstanding amounts due to the company from their expense reports. Also, tracking and monitoring these contacts until payment is received, escalating when necessary.

See Yourself:
Timely reconciling and accurate balancing of travel accounts for all operating companies of Target Corporation.
Timely research and resolution of outstanding reconciliation items.
Preparing and processing the monthly Intercompany transfers. This includes any charges split between operating companies through Expense Workplace.
Processing monthly mail merge and phone calls for amounts due company. Escalating items to Supervisor, Supervisor of team member or HR when appropriate.
Processing write offs to work centers and Payroll for W2 update when necessary, for uncollected amounts.
Reconciling Target's Intercompany accounts for Travel, including charges for all other operating companies.
Creating or bringing suggestions for streamlined processes using Access or Excel for account reconciliation process or for the larger volume accounts.
Working closely with the travel team relating to Cash Advance/Amount Due Company collections, when appropriate.
Other projects as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
Four-year degree or related experience
Motivated self-starter with a high level of initiative.
Strong detail orientation
Strong organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Moderate to Strong PC Skills: Excel and Word

Desired Requirements:
Four-year degree in accounting, finance or analysis.
Knowledge of Lawson GL and general ledger accounting.
Experience with Target LAN
Moderate to Strong PC Skills: Access
Accounting/Reconciliation experience
