Sr. Actuarial Assoc.

Prepares annual actuarial valuations, government filings and FAS 87 disclosures for Defined Benefit client's plans for both outsourced and non outsourced plans. Also prepares FAS 106 reports. Acts as a subject matter expert, inclusive of Defined Benefit and some Defined Contribution topics.Prepares cost estimates for proposed plan changes. Provides information requested by accountants in connection with pension plan audits. Prepares any necessary information required by the IRS such as cost limitations under various sections of the Internal Revenue Code. Reviews plan experience relative to assumptions and recommends changes.


 


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


College graduate with evidence of strong analytical skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Understanding of the Defined Benefit product and a working knowledge of the Defined Contribution product. Strong PC skills. Ability to apply basic actuarial principles to resolve DB plan issues. At least 2 years of experience in preparing Defined Benefit, FAS 87 and FAS 106 valuations. Passed 2 actuarial exams.
