Position Description:

The Risk Assessment Consultant provides value added Risk Assessment consulting services to clients and will deliver these services in a timely, professional manner. This position will also aid in marketing such services internally through establishing rapport and credibility with partners and other professionals and externally through a variety of professional and community networking activities.

Responsibilities include:

- Confering with partners and other professionals in offices served to gain insights on client backgrounds and determine potential needs in risk assessment area, including initiating contact, following up on requests, etc.

- Meeting with clients and potential clients to assess needs, determine appropriate services to provide and sell solutions.

-Keeping Risk Assessment Director and client services partner informed of services being proposed (may meet with client one-on-one, with a Partner or Manager, with a Sales/Marketing Staff Member or part of a Client Service Team).

- Preparing proposals and/or engagement letters for providing services in accordance with established standards and confers with Risk Assessment Director for input and approval for projects planned.

- Meeting with clients and conducts risk assessment consulting projects.

- Preparing reports in accordance with established standards on consulting services performed for clients. Delivering reports where appropriate and discusses results and recommendations with clients.

- Providing on-going time and materials consulting services to established clients as needed and continually seeks business development opportunities for both consulting and traditional services.

- Documenting consulting activities according to firm standards and preparing administrative reports as requested.

- Traveling to client locations as requested to provide consulting services.

- Working with Business Development Sales and Marketing Staff and Consulting Services Team to determine what services are to be emphasized and how they should be marketed.

- Completing client projects effectively and efficiently and maintains a high level of microcomputer proficiency.

- Completing daily time reporting according to firm standards, and assists in billing of time to clients as requested.

- Attending appropriate professional meetings and conferences and reads publications to maintained and expand professional knowledge as a Risk Assessment Consultant.

- Attending and contributes to internal meetings as requested.

Position Requirements:

- Four year college degree in Accounting or related field of study.
- Current knowledge and understanding of relevant internal auditing compliance and practice issues.
- Previous hands on experience with business client services and project/proposal development.
- Highly proficient with the use of MS Office with emphasis in Word Document preparation and Excel spreadsheets.

Additional Experience Preferred but not Required:

- Certified Internal Auditor
- Business Risk Assessment Certification
