Position Objective:

Conducts studies to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the global operations group.

 

Essential Functions:

Analyze financial data from various accounting and information systems.

 

Perform moderately complex statistical, cost and financial analysis of financial reports and data, and prepare subsequent narrative analysis for management.

 

Collect and study data to determine costs of business activities. May recommend budget adjustments, and other cost improvement measures.

 

Analyze financial data and extract and define relevant information; interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.

 

Review costs and perform cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs.

 

Perform moderately complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in the various financial systems.

 

Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.

 

Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

 

Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.

 

Apply a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verifies documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies.

 

Use various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.

 

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related field, or equivalent experience.

 

Experience Requirements:

Demonstrated results in a Financial Analyst role at a top notch company

 

4-6 years of related financial experience required.

 

Proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheet and word processing required.
