Sr. Financial Analyst, Compliance

POSITION SUMMARY:

To be an integral part of the Corporate Finance Team of Redcats USA supporting the Director of General Accounting and Compliance.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for reviewing all assets and liability accounts monthly and the subsequent resolution of any issues discovered. The review process requires interaction within all areas of the financial process. An audit background will be very beneficial to ensure consistency in reporting among brands and to ensure a clean audit at end of year.

2. Interfaces with external auditors during the mid-year review, systems work, and at the year- end review to ensure that the audit is completed timely, accurate and without any audit adjustments.

3. Learns the financial and operating system to ensure that changes properly flow to the financial systems.

4. Prepares quarterly actual US GAAP statements for Redcats USA, Inc. to comply with bank covenants and audited year-end statements including appropriate footnotes. This requires making the necessary journal entries to convert Redcats USA statements to US GAAP statements quarterly. Responsible for converting budgets and projections into US GAAP statements as required.

5. Conduct insurance accounting and interface with Insurance Risk Manager and Workman's Compensation Benefits Administrator, including preparation of budgets and projections for all types of insurance within Redcats USA, (property, crime, workman's comp, etc.). Responsible for all analysis supporting any prepaid accrual related to insurance accounts.

6. Responsible for all balance sheet reporting on a monthly basis, including a comparison between this year, the last projection, budget and last year, with appropriate comments for variances. Responsible for balance sheet commentary sent monthly to Redcats France. Responsible for the development of the consolidated balance sheet during budgets and projection process, as well as developing certain areas of the budget, such as the social liabilities section of the balance sheet, including interaction with the brands to ensure that certain line items on the balance sheet are correct (inventory). Responsible for all cash flow statements and commentary, as well as the ROCE calculation.

7. Responsible for the analysis of the Administration cost center, including monthly journal entries, budgeting and projections. Requires making the necessary journal entries, as well as the monthly analysis of the related costs. Interaction with the associates responsible for various costs related to this cost center is required to ensure that all known costs are properly recorded on a timely basis.

8. Responsible for the analysis of other taxes, including monthly journal entries, budgeting and projections. Requires making the necessary journal entries, as well as the monthly analysis of the related tax accruals. Interaction with the Corporate Director of Tax and the Tax staff is required to ensure that all known issues are properly recorded on a timely basis.

9. Special projects as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of five years of accounting experience.

- Oracle Financial Systems for general ledger and accounts payable.

- Everest system for reporting to Redcats France.

- OFA and Hyperion for budgeting and projections internally.

- Internal audit or public audit experience preferred.

- Bachelor's Degree in accounting required.

- CPA preferred, but not required.

- Strong written and verbal communications skills are required.

- Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task are required.

- Must be an effective team player.

- Word and Excel are required, and the ability to create graphs is helpful.

- Microsoft Power Point and Access is helpful.
