Sr. Financial Systems Analyst-Cognos Planning
We are seeking an experienced Finance professional to join our Management Reporting team in support of our primary planning and forecasting tool, Cognos Planning. The Senior Analyst III, Management Reporting is a key member of the Financial Systems and Process area within Management Reporting, and is responsible for design, development, maintenance and training for the organization?s Financial Planning and Forecasting environment. The successful candidate will combine proficiency in financial planning and forecast processes along with strong systems and project management experience.
In specific, the position is responsible for the supporting all aspects of the Forecast and Plan cycles from a systems and process perspective including:
? Complete understanding of the planning process and its goals, both from a business process and systems perspective;
? Preparation and maintenance of the Cognos planning application for each cycle;
? Define and execute planning schedules in conjunction with Finance, Business Functional, and IT team resources
? Extraction, transformation, and loading of planning data with excellent attention to detail to ensure consistent, clean data
? Superior project management to coordinate tasks across many resources within tight schedules
? New user setup within Cognos Planning and new user training as well as review sessions for existing employees
? Support for user issues during each cycle
? New model development, from project scooping through training and transition, to meet the evolving needs of the business
Qualifications
7 ? 10 + years accounting and finance experience with at least 3 years specific focus on planning and forecasting;
Specific experience with Cognos Planning in an enterprise-level implementation is strongly preferred; specific prior experience with some enterprise-level planning tool is a must.
High tolerance for ambiguity; thrives under pressure and working in a rapidly changing environment;
Excellent project management skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and methodically despite constraints of time and resources;
Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets and/or database management; proven technical agility and desire to learn new technology;
Detail-oriented with an analytical approach to problem solving;
Ability to quickly ascertain and understand business needs and rapidly develop technology solutions and/or reports that meet these needs.
Education
BS in Finance, Accounting or Information Systems preferred. MBA and/or CPA a plus.
