Currently we are seeking a Sr. Manager of SEC Reporting & Analysis in our El Segundo, CA office.  This individual will be a key participant in financial accounting, SEC reporting, and internal control monitoring functions within the company. This individual will have the following responsibilities:

 GAAP research, including the preparation of memos or “white papers” documenting conclusions for new or changing contracts, investments, and other investments. Research and application of new accounting standards for all business units. Monitoring changes in GAAP and the proactive communication of potential issues to senior management. Updating/maintaining of policies and procedures. Maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 documentation for processes within the department.

 

This individual will also play a key role in the following:

 Financial reporting, including: Quarterly and Annual SEC filings, including the MD&A and Footnotes of SEC filings for The DIRECTV Group and DIRECTV Holdings (US business) as separate filers. Preparation of SEC registration statements in connection with mergers, acquisitions and other transactions. Due diligence in connection with mergers & acquisitions.

 



Requirements include:

 CPA required, with at least six years of experience. Big 4 experience required, Private Industry experience is a plus but not required.  Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
