SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Manager Program Cost Control, prepares, maintains, updates, and analyzes job costs, prepares program financial reports, and assists the program manager in administrative and analytical functions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

1. Performs job costing including budgeting, estimates to completion (ETC's), forecasts, 

 cost analysis, variance analysis, financial reporting, and sales and backlog analysis.

2. Interfaces with program, functional, and financial management.

3.Assists program managers.

4. Performs other duties as assigned by Management.

 QUALIFICATIONS

1.Knowledge in cost/schedule procedures, including WBS and earned value.

2.BA degree with five to ten years experience in project/program cost control for

  government projects.

3.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Project.

4.Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
