Sr. VP Finance to $225K salary and bonus

Our client is headquartered in San Diego, California, with regional offices throughout the United States and over $9 billion in assets. This rapidly growing financial services company is ranked 7th in its industry. Founded in 1999, it is privately held and has grown to over 600 employees. This is a newly created position within the strategic management team. Due to continuing growth, there is a newly created opportunity for a Sr. Vice President of Finance.

 

Education:  MBA preferred. Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related.

 

Experience/Knowledge/Skills Requirements: 10 plus years specific experience in financial planning and reporting, financial modeling, data warehousing and portfolio management, including 5 plus years senior level management experience in financial services (preferably in student loans, consumer credit, mortgage banking or credit card industries). Experience interacting with all levels of an organization, including Operations, Credit and Capital Markets functions desirable. Must be a self starter who is highly organized and proactive, with good follow up skills and strong work ethic. Strong Excel skills are required. SQL/Hyperion/Cognos familiarity a plus. Experience in SOX implementation desirable.

 

Responsiblities:

?  Portfolio management: Oversee the cash and asset positions related to the loan portfolios; monitor trends in the activity of the portfolio (including consolidation loan losses, prepayment rates and average loan lives) and changes to our borrower benefit plans; communicate implications to the CFO; support the CAO in developing reserves related to loan defaults.

?  Financial and management reporting: Monitor the preparation of SEC and lender reporting by the Director of Finance to help ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Monitor compliance with financial covenants. Recommend policy changes to the CFO, as appropriate.

?  Finance forecasts: Oversee the development of meaningful forecast models and profitability analyses, analyze trends, and communicate financial implications to the CFO.

?  Oversee cash management: Implement and monitor internal controls.

?  Product knowledge: Maintain an understanding of all product lines and borrower benefit programs. Represent Finance in product-specific committee meetings, as applicable.
