Staff Financial Analyst-Investments

The position is located in Northbrook, IL

 

The purpose of the department is to manage over $110 billion in assets for The Allstate Corporation. The scope of this job is Assist in the administration of investment's bonus programs, analyze investment expenses, various reporting, and special projects.

 

The individual will be responsible for

 

1. Administration of investment bonus programs, including performance analysis, range setting of measures, validation of calculations, award sheet management,  assist with preparations for various committees, coordinate customer surveys, update and evaluate default measures.

2. Monthly and Quarterly reporting for expenses, performance, broker commissions and brand update.

3. Prepare and analyze actual and plan investment expenses, including the basis point model.

4. Coordinate the monthly expense process, including assisting and reviewing the administrative assistant's work.

5. Special project such as developing and testing new measures for the investment bonus programs, implementing new software, and ad hoc requests from officers.

Experience Required:

Four plus years of professional accounting or finance experience, preferably in the investments area.

 

Computer Proficiency:

Advanced Excel skills, Intermediate Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, SAP or other general ledger applications.

 

Education:

College Degree  - Preferred

Major preference: Major preference: Accounting or Finance / CFA a plus
