Spherion Professional Services has a client?with an immediate need for a Tax Manager!

This position is responsible for the delivery of high-quality tax services to the firm's individual

clients. This involves the hands-on preparation of tax returns, projections and analyses, as well

as the supervision of others performing these assignments. The ideal candidate should have a

high level of experience in individual taxation and knowledge and experience with taxation of

flow-through entities.

Responsibilities:

?

? Manage a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and, act as a first point of contact

for internal and external clients

? Preparation and review of tax returns, tax projections and other financial analyses

? Manage teams of tax professionals working on client projects

? Hire, develop, motivate and train staff-level tax professionals

? Assign, monitor and distribute work assignments during tax busy season

? Provide advice to clients

? Assess tax impact on clients, develop arguments to support conclusions, and suggest

recommendations to clients

Qualifications:

?

? CPA license

? CFP license not required but would be a plus

? Minimum of five years experience in the taxation of individuals and flow-through entities

? Minimum of five tax busy seasons

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with and

provide advice to clients

? Ability to work in a team environment

? Skilled in financial analyses, projections and spreadsheet design
