Qualifications:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining, configuring, and problem-solving payroll systems on a daily basis. Includes responding to payroll production issues, researching causes of problems, proposing and testing corrective action, and working with peers, managers, and end users to affect change. Specialists may be involved in the following areas of focus: Kronos Configuration, Kronos Clock, Self-Service, Web Site, Crystal Reports and PeopleSoft Query Ad Hoc Reporting

Provides troubleshooting support of Kronos payroll system. Includes business change request process, evaluation of change requests, rollout of changes, documentation, and stress testing of changes.

Generates payroll standard and ad hoc reporting by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends as requested by management and other departments. Designs, tests, and runs queries/reports when existing queries/reports do not provide requested data. Reviews report specifications on an ongoing basis and initiates enhancements when necessary.

Assists Systems Group in analyzing and documenting technical/functional design specifications.

Provides end user training in Kronos.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree (Business Administration, Finance, IT), or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE:

Typically has 3+ years of hands-on configuration and support experience of Payroll systems in both production and development environments. Must have demonstrated experience with query report writing. Formal training in PeopleSoft Payroll software, preferred.

Interacts and coordinates with the businesses, HR, Finance, Legal, IT, and external partners.

The Saint-Gobain North American Payroll Function is a virtual (not co located) organization so communication and strong process management will be critical.
