Undergraduate Finance Intern

Position The Cooperative Finance program is a program that develops future Finance & Accounting employees at DaimlerChrysler.  Entry into this program is reserved for undergraduates that have completed two years of a business school curriculum and a minimum of two accounting courses.  It is a two or three semester rotational program designed to meet the professional needs of its participants within a dynamic and challenging environment.  It facilitates the development of a broad understanding of the financial and corporate principles, purpose and practices of the company. 

 

Interns will work with experienced Finance staff on various tasks including:

 

?  Process public and intercompany billings

?  Prepare and enter journal vouchers in the ledger

?  Prepare account reconciliations

?  Track depreciation of fixed assets

?  Prepare various management reports

?  Support special projectsEducation/Experience Requirements

?  Must have completed sophomore year of college working towards an accounting or finance degree with a minimum of 6 credits in accounting, Information System classes desirable

?  A GPA of 3.2 and above preferred

?  Must be highly proficient in the use of computers and have working knowledge of the Microsoft programs, especially Excel

?  Good oral and written communication skills

?  Good analytical skills

?  Individual must be able to create and maintain a cooperative, team-oriented work environment

?  Occasional overtime may be requiredCompensation:
