Manage a staff of credit analysts who analyze customer financial statements, identify areas of risk and establish appropriate bad debt reserves.
Responsible for department goal-setting and meeting service level agreements.
Responsible for credit training throughout Cardinal Health. Conduct training programs for Credit Managers, Assistant Managers and analysts.
Provide industry expertise and disseminate appropriate information to the credit managers, credit & collections department and business units as necessary
Build a best in class credit research and analytics group.
Identify problem credits and manage the Joint Credit Committee process
Education or Equivalent: Minimum of a four year degree in Business/Finance/Accounting/Economics
Minimum 5 years credit experience, including financial statement analysis. Bank experience preferred.
Knowledge of credit theories and practices, including financial statement analysis
Ability to train and develop others
Demonstrated analytical and negotiation skills required.
Knowledge of and experience with credit policies required.
Credit experience in a centralized environment desirable.
Proven multi-tasking and prioritization skills required.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with a broad-based audience required.
Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and lead problem resolution with numerous constituencies is required.
Demonstrated ability to anticipate and adjust to changing requirements toward the planning and accomplishment of goals.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, guide, and influence others toward goal accomplishment.
Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, organize, and integrate a course of action to achieve business objectives.
Ability to manage a high-volume department with maximum efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: The ability to develop an implementation plan to transition from a decentralized operation to a centralized shared service operation with minimal business interruption. Must understand how to organize a credit research operation and new account initiation using best of class processes.
Physical/Mental Requirements: The position requires intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, an ability to review a large quantity of information and identify key points, and the capability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
