VP, Controller

Our client is a $140M niche service Company and one of the largest contractors of its kind in California.  Its primary focus is serving the single-family residential and limited high volume multi-family projects for customers that include the largest national and regional homebuilders in the area.  Since its formation over two decades ago, the Company has transformed itself into an industry leader. 

 

Owned by the Company?s Senior Management and Private Equity, the Company is headquartered in southern California.  Central to the Company?s management philosophy is to create an environment as the ?employer of choice? for the highest quality, customer focused tradesmen in order to support its reputation as the contractor of choice within the State of California.

 

With dynamic market conditions and an assertive plan of action, the Company is in need of a proactive, results-oriented, highly effective and hands-on VP, Controller.  The successful candidate will have a passion for continuous improvement and a strong sense of accountability and be able to partner with the President and other staff members, as well as outside investors to optimize the growth potential and profitability of the Company.  This individual will become a key member of the senior Management team and must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the Company as well as the Board of Directors.  It is absolutely essential that the individual possess the excellent people skills necessary to foster an environment that supports teamwork, continuous improvement and innovation while at the same time striving to maintain a high level of expectation.

 

Minimum 15 years of increasingly responsible finance experience, with a minimum of 5-7 years as one of the top financial people where high transaction volumes drive revenues and experience in the Home Building Industry would be a plus. CPA is required.
