VP - Finance, Capital Markets

CITY: Stamford STATE: Connecticut COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
-Identify, assess, recommend and execute capital markets strategies designed to drive business growth and/or enhance profitability of the Americas Region via structured finance transactions.
-Evaluate opportunities to transfer risk, enhance returns and/or diversify funding through whole loan sales, securitization (cash & synthetic) or other structured finance solutions.
-Oversee / lead cross-functional business teams comprised of internal functional experts (i.e. legal, tax, accounting, operations, etc.) through all phases of the transaction structuring and execution process.
-Oversee / lead the selection and management of external vendors (I-banks, rating agencies, trustees, etc.).
-Manage internal communication routines as well as approvals from senior management and related stakeholders.
-Provide M&A support to the region (i.e. due diligence the capital markets activity of potential targets & formulate post-close capital markets strategy).
-Develop, coach & manage team of 2 - 3 structured finance professionals.
-Market intelligence & investor development.
-Responsible for all consumer-related asset classes (excluding U.S. Mortgage at this time).

Qualifications/Requirements:
-Structured finance background.
-Minimum 5 years experience advising senior management of financial services concerns (CEO, COO, CFO and/or Treasurer) in corporate finance related strategies designed to fund, accelerate and/or optimize business growth.
-Project management experience.
-Strong knowledge of the capital markets and fixed income products including but not limited to securitization (cash & synthetic).
-Working understanding of core functional disciplines (legal, tax, accounting & operations) including regulatory and economic capital (Basel II, VAR, etc.).
-Creative problem solving and analytical skills with a strong business/finance mindset.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
-Experience in presenting to senior management, rating agencies and fixed income investors.
-Process oriented, team player with proven transaction and project management skills.
-Experience leading cross-functional business teams.
-Proven experience in Finance or Accounting.
-Enthusiastic, hardworking and a quick learner.

-MBA or professional degree preferred.
