VP of Campus Operations

Key Responsibilities
1. Provides strategic direction to establish, plan and implement operations strategies and internal processes for the achievement of business goals.
2. Leads the campus operations team with the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs and objectives.
3. Develops capacity planning strategies and analysis, assuring the most cost effective delivery of acceptable customer service metrics, ensures strategies align with AFH, CSC.
4. Leads Total Delivered Cost strategies. Works with cross functional teams to set TDC objectives and targets, track performance and drive operating and supply chain efficiencies and improvements.
5. Responsible for developing accelerating growth in industry, by driving operational efficiencies, developing new products and driving quality improvements.
6. Accountable for strategic planning process, P&L, enterprise business process, training and innovation enhancement.
Job Duties
? This position will report to Kathleen Horner, StockPot President and Dave Nash, VP of Strategy and Supply Chain Campbell AFH
? Provides strategic direction to the Operations functions to support StockPot Inc. and Custom Creations AFH. Accountable for the efficient manufacturing and continuous improvement of all StockPot products and processes, ensuring that product quality, employee safety, and food safety standards, as well as regulatory requirements, are met or exceeded. Providing leadership for the daily functions of the campus? manufacturing functions.
? Responsible for the effective and profitable management of all operations including Operations, Warehousing, Engineering and Maintenance. Work closely with staff to lead all initiatives that include increasing capacity, cost reduction and continuous improvement. Responsible for driving continuous improvement in the areas TDC, ROI, process improvements.
? Approves recommendations for the creation, justification and implementation of all manufacturing Capital Projects. Responsible for systems maintenance and engineering, facilities and equipment maintenance ensuring the safety and reliability of the equipment, while minimizing downtime and ensuring employee and food safety.
? Provides strategic direction for the supply chain function including the development of operating plans, planning, forecasting, top-to-top key vendor relationships, strategic inventory management and global infrastructure to support the needs of the organization.
? Works to align R&D, Supply Chain, and Operations to reduce working capital through effective management of raw and finished goods inventory balances (through SKU rationalization, ingredients consolidation, and strategic production planning, etc.)
? Provides strategic direction for the product formulation group (new formula, new products, cost reductions and product improvement) and the product development of all StockPot product.
? Leads Operations ?Stage Gate? product development and optimization ownership. Provides strategic direction to ensure profitability, production feasibility and quality integrity to build brand equity and grow the business. Supports Stage Gate product development and commercialization process to ensure optimal performance and effective customer management.
? Works with Human Resources to develop manpower and crewing strategies including seasonal crewing, union prevention, career ladders and professional development.
? Assures that Employee Safety Accountabilities are met at all levels. Identifies compliance issues promptly and develops corrective action. Assures that injuries and accidents are reported promptly, that incident investigations are conducted according to policies, and feedback and corrective action plans are implemented. Ensures that all production work force receives adequate training and supplemental review on the safe and effective use of equipment and supplies, Job Safety Accountabilities (JSAs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HAACP standards, SSOPs, and appropriate regulatory requirements related to their job function.
? Ensures that business' goals are developed and in line with StockPot's Shared Values and overall strategic goals and business plans. Actively manages career development of direct reports, reviews performance, provides coaching, counseling, and mentoring as required to increase performance. Champions realization of the StockPot Shared Values and the Campbell Leadership Model. Ensures identified development needs of staff members are met by job opportunities and training.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications/Education/Skills
Minimum education required: Bachelor?s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
Education desired: Graduate level degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration (MBA)
Years of relevant experience: 10+ years at a senior managerial level in a manufacturing environment, Prefer food-manufacturing experience
Familiarity with a variety of supply chain concepts, practices, and procedures
Strong business acumen and financial analysis skills, capability to understand and report financial results and impacts.
Computer Proficiency: Adept at using computer office management tools, such as excel, electronic mail, word processing programs as an integral part of day-to-day activity. Ability to use applicable in-house systems to do needed analysis and report generation required to support management and decision-making activities.
