Vitality Foodservice, Inc., a leader in the beverage industry has an immediate opening for a VP, Financial Planning & Analysis in downtown Tampa. 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

Senior member of the management team with wide reaching responsibilities for setting the strategic and financial direction of the company.  Owner of the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts, as well as management and Board/Lender reporting.  Business advisor functional heads to guide profit improvement initiatives and efficiencies.  Involved in strategic initiatives to develop financial models and provide financial guidance.  Leader in developing new pricing model for key customer and implementing  pricing lanes in the field.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 Recommends to management and involved in establishing economic strategies, objectives and recommendations.  Key business advisor to various functional heads.Supervises 5 direct reports.Analyze strategic alternatives from a financial perspective.  Give recommendations and financial guidance to business leaders.Coordinate and manage the annual budgeting process, including the SAP automation project currently in process.Responsible for quarterly forecasts.Manage Treasury operations and reporting.Oversee the monthly financial statement consolidations for the reporting entities.Complete monthly Board and Lender reporting packages, including MD&A.  Create meaningful management reporting for timely distribution, including balance scorecards and KPI?s.Continue to enhance trend analysis and segment profitability reporting by business unit/customer/category to identify profit improvement opportunities.Improve National Account profitability reporting, new business analysis and tracking of customer pricing.Work with production and cost accounting functions to complete necessary operational reporting.Work with sales and marketing groups and R&D group to analyze the financial impact of new product introductions and dispenser development technologies. Work with Cruise Ship division to assist in developing new business proposals.Work with the emerging service company to develop management reporting and analysis.  Key financial advisor to this growing segment of the business.Work with I.T. group to continue automation of management reporting through SAP/Business Warehouse.Oversee sales incentive plan calculations and a key participant in developing annual incentive plans.Oversee pricing practices, processes and methodologies for company owned regions.  Involved in changing the pricing model for a key customer and implementing pricing lanes for sales in the company owned regions.Perform financial evaluations for proposed capital expenditure projects.

 

 

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS  The Key Performance Indicators necessary to determine a successful candidate in this position are:

 Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.Interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups of individuals and functional areas within the company and outside of the company.Experienced in dealing with the senior team and the functional heads to set strategic direction. Proficient in management reporting and financial analysis.Process oriented and experienced in directing the annual budgeting process.Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting.Strong analytical skills and ability to derive conclusions and recommendations from data.High degree of computer proficiency.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: 4 year degree, MBA is desirable.  CPA and public accounting background a plus. 

 

Experience: Minimum 10 years.  SAP experience a plus.
