Vice President of Portfolio Strategy

Responsible for creating and managing testing platforms that will be used to continuously improve results from Portfolio Recovery Associates collection channels, which include direct mail, dialer, legal, third party agency, and manual collections.

 

1.Create the testing methodology and the execution platform for maximizing collections from all channels.  Suggest strategy, conduct tests, analyze and interpret results, and present fact-based recommendations for collections performance improvement to management.

 

2.Create the set of testing options that can improve performance, define the approach to prioritize the options based on cost/benefit analysis, and produce and execute upon the resulting testing schedule.

 

3.Build an information capture and reporting system which contains a historical summary of tests performed, test results, expected value of champion application, actual champion value achieved, and other applicable information.

 

4.Develop strong working relationships with the operational leaders of each collection channel to ensure that the potential of champion test results are fully realized.

 

5.Recruit and develop an analyst support team to assist in maximizing net present value of recoveries from all collection channels.

 

6.Assist in preparation and execution of annual budget.

 

Bachelor?s degree, with background in accounting, finance, engineering, business or quantitative methods desired; at least five years of related and pertinent work experience.  Experience in a financial institution preferred. Experience with structuring, executing, and interpreting the results of tests in either a collection/recovery environment or a financial services marketing/origination environment is required.  Must have effective organizational, analysis, project management, communication, time-management and interpersonal skills and high attention to detail. Must be skilled in use of analytical tools including Excel.  Experience with other data analysis tools preferred.  Must be able to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Will be required to travel two to four times annually.
