Job Summary and Mission

This job contributes to Starbucks success by identifying and designing improvementsto the corporate financial planning system (Oracle Financial Analyzer) and other custom planningtools. Provides user support and troubleshooting, input on business requirements, system s  and process enhancement support and documentation, system maintenance, and partner training.Leads a team of business systems analysts. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.


Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Acts as contact for all users on system needs or issues  and assigns tasks to team members . Troubleshoots software and hardware issues on multiple programs to keep systems operational , primarily Oracle Financial Analyzer  . Coordinates issue resolution according to priorities designated by business group management or other controls. Creates and distributes communications updates to system users on problem resolutions. Maintains systems configuration documentation and procedures, such as user setups and interface administration for departmental computing or non-enterprise systems. Maintains a log of completed and ongoing system changes. Participates in test plan development and conducts or coordinates with Information Technology developers to test system fixes, enhancements, changes and implementations, in order to ensure functionality and user acceptance. Provides ongoing end-user systems training to ensure continued and correct use of application and to roll out new tools and procedures. Collaborates with business group management to develop appropriate training materials to support the needs of the functional area. Works with Information Technology development partners and vendors to coordinate system enhancements, defines business requirements and provides progress updates. Uses software tools, including multiple programming languages, to create customized departmental computer or non-enterprise systems to enhance operations and performance  (primarily OFA and other Oracle applications) .

Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse user group  Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision Detailed knowledge of Oracle Financial Analyzer application, including maintaining multiple instances of the database, and experience with interfacing between OFA and other Oracle applications (primarily OFS) Experience leading, or participating on a team, that implemented a significant systems implementation or upgradeAbility to convey technical information in an accessible and understandable manner Training and presentation skills Analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Understanding of functional area business objectives, strategies and work flow processes Knowledge of business requirements management
